You’re used to tennis coach Marcin Bieniek giving us concrete tips on improving our mental, physical, tactical and other skills, but this time Marcin decided to depart from his role of a tennis adviser and wanted to have some fun by helping you pick a Christmas gift for a woman in your life based on the WTA player whose character she resembles the most.

I know that tennis players and coaches don’t have time for shopping. They get on the court, hit balls as hard as possible, talk to themselves after each mistake and do everything they can to beat the opponent. After the practice is done, there are other activities such as stretching, proper nutrition and watching tennis on TV. How can we find time for shopping? Can’t we give another tennis t-shirt as a Christmas gift?

Hard work pays off, on the court and in life. Let’s use this rule while preparing for the best Christmas ever. This Christmas shopping can be different and much more memorable if we will plan it in advance. If a woman in your life is passionate about tennis, it is a good choice to surprise her with something related to her favorite sport. In order to avoid being predictable, check out my favorite ideas for a tennis Christmas gift in 2018 in line with the tennis profile of a woman you’d like to surprise.

If your woman is similar to:

Simona Halep

She loves learning, improving, she is patient and never gives up. These character traits make her willing to educate herself and improve her tennis level. A perfect gift for her would be a tennis book, DVD or some practical online tennis course that will improve her tennis skills.

Maria Sharapova

Glamorous look is what defines this player’s appearance. There is no limit for designer bags and luxurious jewelry. Did I say jewelry? Yes. That’s the idea. Take some time and find some tennis-themed earrings, necklaces or bracelets. There are plenty of options online and there is no better way to combine fashion details and passion for tennis.

Bethanie Mattek-Sands

She doesn’t care about other people’s opinion. She listens to herself, to her own senses and intuition. The best surprise for your better half in this case would be that you create something on your own. A DIY project will show her that you are creative and that you put effort into the gift. Many times it is more valuable than $1000 spent in a shop. Maybe you can create some tennis collage or a book with your tennis memories together?

Alternatively, you know that Bethanie is now partnered with Lucky in Love. Although her collections will see the light of the day in 2019, the company’s style is perfectly in line with Bethanie’s fashion sense, so picking anything from Lucky in Love‘s offer will refresh your woman’s tennis clothing collection with bold and eclectic items.

Victoria Azarenka

Your woman successfully juggles career and motherhood. You can show your appreciation with a specific Christmas gift, for example matching tennis t-shirts for mom and son/daughter. Sofibella, for example, offers collections that exist both for ladies and for girls, such as the Singapore collection and the all white Miami collection.

Genie Bouchard

She loves photos, ads and celebrity life. No problem. Here you can give your woman a piece of the tennis star life — book a tennis-themed photoshoot and let your woman enjoy the time as an imaginary US Open champion. Alternatively, since Genie loves branded clothing, you can buy your woman EleVen equipment designed by tennis great Venus Williams, maybe some Maria Sharapova’s Nike dress, or some limited-edition footwear (Asics has some nice LE shoes).

As you can see, gifts for female tennis players and coaches don’t have to be predictable and boring. Sometimes a little bit of creativity and a little bit of time are needed to change a good present into a spectacular one. Use ideas written above to make your woman remember this Christmas forever.
