We had four second-round matches on Wednesday at the Nature Valley Classic and our photographer Jimmie48 made it to all four. Magdalena Rybarikova overcame Kristina Mladenovic 3-6 6-2 6-1 to reach the quarterfinals where her opponent will be qualifier Dalila Jakupovic, who advanced when Naomi Osaka retired after the first set with an abdominal injury.
Second seed Elina Svitolina reached the last 8 in Birmingham for the first time with a 6-4 6-2 win over Alize Cornet and her next opponent will be Mihaela Buzarnescu, as the Romanian defeated Petra Martic 4-6 6-3 6-2.
