Ashleigh Barty wins first tournament on home soil at Adelaide International

World No.1 Ashleligh Barty is lifting silverware on home soil for the first time in her career with an emphatic 6-2 7-5 victory against unseeded Dayana Yastremska in the Adelaide International final.

Barty conceded just two points on serve in the entire opening set. The top-seeded Australian proceeded to go 2-0 up in the second set, when the 19-year-old Yastremska won three straight games and soon had two break points to go 5-3 up. However, Barty saved them both to level the score 4-4, broke the Ukrainian to love in the eleventh game of the set and then served out for the Premier-level title.

To win the eighth WTA title of her career, Barty defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the second round, eighth seed Marketa Vondrousova in the quarterfinals, Danielle Collins in the semifinals, and finally Yastremska, who will rise to a new career-high of No.21 on Monday.Ashleigh Barty

During the memorable week at the Adelaide International, Fila-sponsored Barty rocked the Heritage collection, in particular the Fall Heritage Racerback Tank, Fall Heritage Solid Skirt, and striped Fall Heritage Jacket.

Barty will remain No.1 and enter the Australian Open as the top seed, extending her reign atop the WTA Rankings to 21-consecutive weeks and 28 weeks overall.
