The Cypriot announced the news by sharing this practice photo on his Twitter account and saying:

I am so glad to announce the next chapter of my life and look forward to coaching a great athlete and super tennis player No.6 ranked WTA player Elina Svitolina, working alongside Andre Bettles! I want to thank Elina for putting her trust in me. Lets do this! Bring it on 2020.

Elina tweeted the same photo with the caption:

Teamwork gives you the best opportunity to turn vision into reality. #ShutupAndDoAsYoureTold

The 34-year-old Baghdatis must be very familiar with the WTA world, as he is married to former Croatian WTA player Karolina Sprem. They have two daughters, ages seven and four.
