For the first time since winning the 2014 Wimbledon title, Petra Kvitova is back to the tournament’s second week and the Czech has done it with a confident 6-3 6-2 victory over Poland’s No.2 Magda Linette.

Opening Saturday’s action on Court No.2, in both sets the sixth-seeded Kvitova wasted break point opportunities in Linette’s first service games, but broke her in her second service games and never looked back, landing 75% of her first serves and winning 81% of the points behind them.

In the entire match the two-time Wimbledon champion Kvitova didn’t face a break point, but her break point conversion was far from impressive, as the Czech won just three out of 12 break points she earned.

Last year, the 29-year-old Kvitova lost in first round of Wimbledon, while from 2010 to 2014 she reached at least the quarterfinals.
