Monday night featured a star-studded event in Stuttgart, as WTA players glammed up to celebrate the start of the 2019 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, one of the most important tournaments on the calendar. Thanks to Jimmie48, we have photos from the party.

The biggest star of the evening was world No.1 Naomi Osaka, who showed up in a loose, animal print dress, awaiting to debut her Nike gear in an official match. How amazing is it that the 21-year-old was a qualifier in Stuttgart just two years ago, when she lost in the first round to Johanna Konta, and now she’s the top seed.

Simona Halep felt like wearing a casual cardigan and simple dark jeans. The Romanian’s stay in Stuttgart was very short, as she’s withdrawn from the tournament due to a left hip injury suffered during her win over Caroline Garcia in her country’s Fed Cup defeat by France on Sunday.

Osaka’s reaction to Halep’s withdrawal is epic:

I hope she gets better. I think it affects the tournament a lot because she’s a really great claycourt player. Personally, it affects me because she was really close [to catching me]. Phew! I feel like a dodged a bullet there.

Dominika Cibulkova doesn’t shy away from flashing big brand names on her outfits, but this time the Slovak chose a timeless combination — a body-hugging black dress and black leather jacket.

Similar to Cibulkova, Russia’s Daria Kasatkina went for an all-black look featuring a black leather jacket.

Donna Vekic and Belinda Bencic looked like this literally ten minutes after playing the Turkish Airlines Tiebreak event.

Reigning champion Karolina Pliskova was glowing in a loose, long-sleeved dress featuring what seems to be a dragon print, although she’s not feeling 100%. As WTA Insider reports, she was on antibiotics for two weeks after the Miami Open and is still feeling under the weather.

If the Czech defends her title, she’ll become 2019’s first multiple champion. With Garbine Muguruza’s withdrawal, the fourth-seeded Pliskova’s first opponent will be either lucky loser Vera Zvonareva or Viktoria Azarenka.

Two-time Stuttgart champ Angelique Kerber brought regal elegance to the WTA red carpet. Unfortunately, the German picked up a virus in Monterrey, so she’s not at her best, but she simply couldn’t skip her home event.

The 2011 Stuttgart champion Julia Goerges softened her black shirt and pants combo with a pale pink suit and elegant hairstyle.

Andrea Petkovic brought romantic summer vibes to the Players’ Night.

Petra Kvitova was all smiles at the red-carpet event, knowing that she has a chance of claiming the No.1 ranking, although it’s a long shot, as Naomi Osaka would have to lose in the first round and the Czech would then have to go all the way to the title.

Kiki Bertens chose a blue jumpsuit for the Monday night. The Dutchwoman will record her 80th main-draw career win on clay if she beats Anna-Lena Friedsome in the first round.
