Amelie Mauresmo brings her kids to Fed Cup tie in Aix-en-Provence

France is set to face the USA in the Fed Cup World Group semifinals in Aix-en-Provence on 21st and 22nd April and the host nation’s former captain Amelie Mauresmo visited the event venue with her children, one-year-old daughter Ayla and two-and-a-half-year-old son Aaron.

We have these precious photos thanks to Corinne Dubreuil of FFT. The 38-year-old Mauresmo shared them herself on Twitter and Instagram, which she has only recently joined. The fact that Mauresmo showed these pics is quite surprising, as she’s generally not exposing her private life and her family.

How cute is Kristina Mladenovic‘s finger greeting with little Ayla. And look at Aaron approaching to hug Pauline Parmentier. Notice his hat in the colors of French flag!

When it comes to the Fed Cup tie, the 2017 champion USA holds an 11-2 lead over France, plus, home advantage is not that promising, as the French have lost all seven of their meetings against the US on the red clay. However, French captain Yannick Noah doesn’t pay attention to stats and is highly optimistic:

I didn’t know that. But I never played against America so I never lost to them. So it’s zero-zero for me.

Noah believes that the match between Pauline Parmentier and fresh Miami Open champion Sloane Stephens is crucial:

Pauline’s match [against Stephens] is very important. Against their No.1, she has nothing to lose. If she can win, I think we can win the whole thing.

Maybe the stats are not on France’s side, but the ladies will definitely benefit from the support of Mauresmo and her cute kids.
