  1. I watched the women’s doubles final that Emman speaks of on ESPN2. Chan was making some spectacular shots and deserved her trophy. At the trophy presentation ceremony, Martina was calling her “Latisha”..I suppose another westernized name of a Chinese player. Chan’s sister goes by Lynn, and I believe Zhang Shuai’s westernized name is Rose. They do this in golf as well..Top ten player Shanshan Feng goes by Jenny Money. Come on Chinese ladies be proud of your heritage, don’t kowtow to the western world and change your given name. Li Na never did. (But of course her husband did, going by Dennis). 😮

  2. @Jim – Hao-Ching Chan (Yung Jan Chan’s sister) goes by the name Angel as her Westernized name. I agree, She was very eager to win her first Grand Slam and she did a lot of great shots in the net.
