Caroline Wozniacki capped a perfect week in Kuala Lumpur with a comeback victory in the final against Alexandra Dulgheru. The Dane, whose short Twitter bio reads “Daughter, sister, friend, tennis player. Mother to our dog Bruno. 2014 NYC marathon runner. SI swimsuit model 2015 :)”, has won at least one WTA title every year since 2008, the season in which she won her first one.
As the top seed at the BMW Malaysian Open, Wozniacki cruised all week, not losing more than five games per match all the way to the final, in which her opponent Dulgheru took charge first, taking the opening set 6-4. However, Wozniacki showed who’s the boss at the onset of the second set and comfortably found the way to the winner’s trophy with a 4-6 6-2 6-1 triumph.
En route to her 23rd WTA title and during her first trophy selfie (I can’t believe she hadn’t made one before!), Wozniacki was wearing the green Adidas Stella McCartney Barricade Dress, featuring a large keyhole cutout on back, and the crop-length, floral print Adidas Spring Stella McCartney Barricade Jacket.
And talking about Wozniacki’s apparel, reader Sorciere told me that this will probably be the tennis star’s dress for the 2015 French Open. We’re still waiting for this information to be confirmed, but it’s quite possible. As we can see, Stella is not departing from color-blocks and flowers are still there, although this time half-print and half-embroidered.
Caro deserves the title. She is expected to win this tournament considering the draw. Yellow looks great at Caro but I’m not really a fan of the silver floral print of her new Stella dress. I might changed my mind when I see her on it.

Emman Damian, and Caro recently tweeted a teaser from her photoshoot for Stella’s fall/winter collection! They’re already in fall/winter. And we can see her in a grey jacket.
I agree. I love their collections from last year until Australian Open this year. I wonder what will other Stella girls will wear in Roland Garros. I hope it is more impressive than this one.
Liz, it’s actually disgusting, and I rarely say that! 😛 It will look like something’s leaking down her butt. :/ I didn’t really like the dress when I first saw it, but now with a closer look at the back, it looks awful.

Unfortunately you don’t have a pic of the back… but I’ve seen it on the site I sent you. The whitish part on the back is all the way down, narrowing at the bottom. I don’t like that at all! 🙁
Liz, luckily I’m doing only best-of monthly fashion wrap-ups for the WTA and I won’t have to write my opinion about that dress 😛 I’ve seen the tank from this collection on Tennis Warehouse Europe and it also has that awkward “leak”.

Liz, good point. They really were on the right track, for several past collections in a row, but this upcoming one is causing distress! 😀 Maybe white clothes from the new collection will be OK (I see there are some white pieces as well). I will definitely review the collection when more photos and designs come out.
I just wonder how the Stella line could have such a big fall-back… They were on their way back….. :S
