Tuesday night featured the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships players’ party, a fancy invitation-only event that gathered our WTA stars who enjoyed wearing traditional dresses and getting some fun with Arabic tattoos. Let’s see who was there!
Ana Ivanovic looked stunning and ready to socialize in a daring white crop top paired with a coordinated long skirt. Here she is chatting with her fellow Dubai Duty Free Global Brand Ambassador Caroline Wozniacki, who opted for a much less glamorous outfit.
Angelique Kerber also enjoyed the company of the glowing Ana, whose tournament campaign, just as Angelique’s, ended today in the third round already.
Agnieszka Radwanska went all black and her on-court appearance kind of matched the black mood, as the 2012 Dubai champion succumbed to the intolerable heat and the top form of Garbine Muguruza in round three.
Petra Kvitova, the champion in Dubai two years ago, just like Caro felt like keeping it sporty despite the party being overall elegant. The Czech also didn’t survive Wednesday’s upset storm, falling to Carla Suarez Navarro.
Karolina Pliskova, the person behind Ana Ivanovic’s upset, rocked a casual summer look.
Jelena Jankovic enjoyed some alone sofa time.
Alize Cornet, Timea Babos, Kristina Mladenovic and Caroline Garcia got together for a photo opp.
Three-time Dubai champion Venus Williams, who also lost on Wednesday, preferred some selfie time with a falcon.
Elena Vesnina and Alla Kudryavtseva got friendly with the falcon as well.
As you sure know, our photographer Jimmie48 is on site in Dubai, bringing us live photo coverage on Twitter and amazing galleries at the end of each day on Women’s Tennis Blog. This players’ party was a closed event, hence I found the photos on the WTA website and on players’ Twitter accounts, while below you can check back to our on-court action shots from these four days Women’s Tennis Blog has spent in Dubai.
