In a repeat of this year’s Wimbledon final, Petra Kvitova had no trouble dispatching Eugenie Bouchard to win the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open title and a spot in the WTA Championships in Singapore.

The third-seeded Kvitova handily took the first set by virtue of a single break, while in the second set she was a double break up, 5-2, and the seed No.6 Bouchard merely extended the contest by converting her first and only of eight break points before falling to the Czech 6-3 6-4. Earlier this week in Li Na’s hometown Kvitova defeated Karine Knapp, Karolina Pliskova, Caroline Garcia and Elina Svitolina.

This was the first edition of the Wuhan Open and players loved the organization and the city, even though the field was significantly plagued by injuries and withdrawals, including top seed Serena Williams’ retirement in her opening match. Bouchard even said that she would love to visit the city in the off-season.

Nike clothes that helped Kvitova feel comfortable en route to the Premier-level trophy are the Fall Advantage Print SS Top in color game royal, the Fall Victory Court Skirt in midnight navy, and the pink Zoom Vapor 9.5 Tour shoes.

  1. Petra is definitely on fire. She is playing really good tennis and hopefully she will keep with this pace to the end of the year. Of course, other players struggle physically and are not able to perform as well as they can but it doesn’t degrade Petra’s great form right now
