Serena Williams has partnered with WeMix.com, the online music creation community for independent musicians, to create an original theme song to be used at tennis matches, public appearances and a variety of other outlets by Serena.

Independent artists can submit their work inspired by Serena Williams to the "Serena's Song" contest and the tennis star herself will select her personal favorite songs as finalists. The winner will be chosen by online communities at WeMix.com and Serena’s official website.

Finalists will be chosen in early May, while the winning song will premiere at the Bank of the West Classic in late July. (source: Black Tennis Pro's)

It was a funny moment when Anna Chakvetadze’s long plait got caught in her racket in the Bank of the West Classic final against Sania Mirza of India. Anna Chakvetadze of Russia defeated Sania Mirza of India in straight sets 6-3 6-2 to win the Bank of the West Classic in Stanford, California. This victory earned Anna the fourth title of 2007; earlier this year the 20-year-old had won Hobart, 's-Hertogenbosch, and the Western & Southern Financial Group Women's Open.

Additionally, Chakvetadze improved to an amazing 6-0 lifetime in finals. Moreover, when the new rankings get released on Monday she will take the place of Amelie Mauresmo and become No. 6 for the first time. Sania Mirza, on the other hand, will be back at her career high ranking of 31.

World No. 11 Marion Bartoli lost her first chance to prove that she is not just a one-hit wonder. The Frenchwoman was beaten in her first match since the Wimbledon final.

Bartoli left the court in tears after a 7-5 4-6 3-6 loss to American Lilia Osterloh at the Bank of the West Classic. The 22-year-old said that her body was too tired and had no energy due to busy past two months.

I still believe that Wimbledon final was not the last great achievement of Marion Bartoli. She possesses courage and determination to be admired. Don’t forget that she beat world No.1 Justine Henin and world No.3 Jelena Jankovic despite the pressure of playing at a Grand Slam! Remember what happened to Ivanovic in the same situation? In addition, Jankovic still hasn't beaten Henin.
