Sixth seed Serena Williams defeated Polish teenager Agnieszka Radwanska with a dominant 6-4 6-0 victory. Williams posted only six unforced errors in the match, and by the end of the fifty-one minute quarterfinal, she hit twenty-seven winners and only dropped two service points during the second set. Chinese wildcard Jie Zheng, who upset world No.1 Ana Ivanovic in the third round and beat seed No.15 Agnes Szavay in the next round, got past 18th seed Nicole Vaidisova 6-2 5-7 6-1 in the quarterfinals. Serena Williams and WTA Tour CEO Larry Scott launch "Looking for a Hero" ad campaign

The WTA Tour has organised the largest ad campaign in its history, which is expected to cost $15 million and Serena Williams joined WTA Tour CEO Larry Scott in London to launch it. The marketing campaign will be rolled out across 75 countries over next 18 months and feature over 30 players.

The tennis stars took part in the film and photographic shoot (Maria Sharapova’s favorite) for the campaign which took place at various locations in Rome, Italy. The advertisements ask the question "Looking for a Hero?" presenting women’s tennis players as superheroes both on and off the court. Read more »

When asked to talk about her rumored relationship with rapper Common, Serena was a bit mysterious: "I think he’s a great guy. He’s obviously a great artist who is timeless and classic. You can’t beat that. But I have to focus on tennis because that’s my goal in life."
