Dementieva fights, but Henin advances to Stuttgart semifinalsElena Dementieva was a tough opponent, she battled and kept the match uncertain, but world number one Justine Henin was simply too strong and advanced to the semifinals of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart with a 6-4 6-4 victory.

Russian Dementieva had several break points in the first game, but didn’t convert them. Then, Henin went to a 5-0 lead, and when everyone thought that the Belgian top seed is impressively going to take the first set, Dementieva held two of her serves and made two breaks! Wow! Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams are not the only ones to visit fashion shows. Apparently, Justine Henin, too, became interested in such events as she was seen sitting in the front row at Milan Fashion Week.

Justine Henin to return at Stuttgart and play exhibition in December

Justine HeninWorld number one Justine Henin will compete in only three more tournaments this season: the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, the Tier I Zurich Open and the year-end Sony Ericsson Championships in Madrid.

However, fans in Belgium will get to see Henin – and three special guests – play a Christmas holiday exhibition which will be held in Charleroi from December 15-16, 2007. The Belgian's fellow top ten players Anna Chakvetadze and Nadia Petrova have already confirmed their participation in the sixth Women’s Tennis Trophy event, and the final player will be either Ana Ivanovic, Martina Hingis, Shahar Peer, or Francesca Schiavone. Justine Henin withdraws from China Open due to chronic asthma

Justine HeninWorld number one Justine Henin won’t play at the next week’s China Open in Beijing because of breathing problems she has been suffering for a few months, which were diagnosed as chronic asthma.

These health problems haven’t prevented the 25-year-old Belgian from winning the US Open 2007, but her doctor has advised her to take a short break now.
