Anastasia Myskina gives birth to son Zhenya

Anastasia Myskina gave birth to son Zhenya on Monday evening in Moscow (date: April 28). The identity of the father is still a secret. Myskina refuses to reveal it, although he is believed to be her former boyfriend, Russian hockey player Constantine Korneyev. Reports indicate he is currently with the Russian national team in Quebec City, where the World Hockey Championships are being held.

Myskina has been out of action on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour for almost a year now, and she has not made any announcements on whether or not she will return to the Tour. The Muscovite, who turns 27 this summer, has 10 career Tour singles titles. She was the first Russian woman to win a Grand Slam singles title at the French Open in 2004. For those of you interested in how Anastasia Myskina’s pregnancy is progressing — this is what the 2004 French Open champion looks like these days. Myskina is due in May and I still haven’t come across any updates on her relationship status. The last thing was that she was single and didn’t want to get married. I suppose the situation stayed the same. Maybe there was something in the Russian media? Any of you know some new details? (photo via WTA World)

Anastasia Myskina pregnant, no boyfriend

Former world number two Anastasia Myskina is apparently pregnant, but at the moment without a man by her side.

In an interview for Russian newspaper Tvoi Den, Myskina revealed that she is four months pregnant and is due in May. Myskina has broken up with her most recent boyfriend, Russian hockey player Constantine Korneyev, and therefore was reluctant to talk about the baby’s father.

"That topic is closed. I’ll just say that I am not getting married in the near future. I am a single person. I don’t know about the baby’s gender yet, and I haven’t decided yet where I will give birth—in Russia or abroad," said Myskina, the 2004 French Open champion. (source: Tennis Info Blog)
