Mentally exhausted Ana Ivanovic withdraws from Wimbledon warmup
World No.1 Ana Ivanovic has withdrawn from next week's International Women's Open at Eastbourne.
The official reason for Ivanovic’s withdrawal is a problem with her abductor. However, the Serb also claims to be mentally exhausted after winning her first Grand Slam title on Saturday, and doesn’t feel ready to compete yet.
"I'm very sorry to to anyone who was hoping to see me play in Eastbourne," said the 20-year-old Ivanovic. "I've heard great things about the tournament and I was looking forward to going there, spending some time near the sea, and preparing for Wimbledon." (source: Ana Ivanovic's official website)

Newly-crowned
Before the 2008 French Open, Ana Ivanovic’s coaching team, Scott Byrnes (strength and conditioning coach), Sven Groeneveld (tennis advisor) and Marcin Rozpedski (hitting partner), promised that they would do something outrageous if she took the title. Ana’s brother Milos wanted to join the trio and the four gave their word that if Ana won the French Open, they would run around the Arc de Triomphe while each wearing one of Ana's adidas dresses.

Last year’s runner-up Ana Ivanovic won a tough battle of the Serbs to advance to 
Serbian stars Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic both advanced to the 2008 French Open semifinals and will meet each other in the battle for the championship match.
