Ana Ivanovic officially having a boyfriend, holding hands with Adam Scott

Ana Ivanovic officially having a boyfriend, holding hands with Adam ScottAfter the failure with Fernando Verdasco, Ana Ivanovic has more and more been seen with golfer Adam Scott (things started warming up in the Australian sun in January), and now we can be 100% sure that Ana has a new relationship.

Am I right, this is the first time we're seeing Ivanovic and Scott holding hands? I have an impression that with Verdasco the public display of affection happened much faster.

Ivanovic and Scott were spotted strolling the streets of New York. Ana has had plenty of time to enjoy the NYC, having lost in the very first round of the US Open.

Additional info: Here's a photo of Adam supporting Ana at Wimbledon, and after that the evidence of Ana supporting Adam at the Scottish Open.

Broken Ana Ivanovic speaks about her crisis

Ana IvanovicAfter her probably toughest loss, Ana Ivanovic has decided to forget about tennis for a week or two – before tournaments in Tokyo and Beijing – and then hopefully end the yucky season in a worthwhile manner.

The world No.11 Ivanovic revealed some of her inner issues in her latest diary entry:

It's no secret that this is the most difficult time of my career so far. Losing in the first round of the US Open hurt a great deal, I can tell you that.

I feel mentally exhausted. This season has been very difficult in terms of my health and form: even though I'm in great shape in terms of my stamina and speed, I've been picking up so many small injuries. Just when I felt like I was close to getting back into my rhythm, I would feel pain in a new place, and then I'd feel like I'm starting all over again.

It's obviously affected my confidence and I've overanalysed it too, and let if affect me far too much – not just the injuries, but my desire to get back to the top.

Additional info: Here’s how the famous tennis coach Nick Bollettieri would approach Ana's chronic problem: "If she came to me I would say tell me every single thing that's on your mind. Everything! Do you still like the game? Have you lost your confidence? Are you afraid? Did you have a bad relationship?" (photo: Ralf Reinecke)

Ana Ivanovic crashes out in US Open first round

Ana Ivanovic at the 2009 US OpenAna Ivanovic’s career was in a downfall, but with the loss in the US Open first round, it has finally hit the ground.

We had been fearful we wouldn't even get the chance to see both of Ana Ivanovic's US Open dresses in action, but Ana’s loss in the first round is a surprise nevertheless, even though it was to a tricky opponent, world No.52 Kateryna Bondarenko.

The 11th-seeded Ivanovic lost the match in a third-set tiebreaker, having even had a match point at 6-5 in the tiebreak. Final score: 2-6 6-3 7-6(7).

Here’s the most telling part of the post match presser, where the former world No.1, now ranked 11th, sums up her issues.

Q. Is it possible you could be thinking about it too much?

ANA IVANOVIC: Well, I think I've been thinking about everything too much and trying to address lots of issues with my game, and at the moment I feel like I have a plan in place and I know what I have to do in each area of my game. But just at the moment I think it's a little disbalanced. My fitness is at one level, mind at another, my game is at another level. I think these all these things have to marry to get into the right direction and have to fit.
