Maria Sharapova's interview after the loss to Agnieszka Radwanska at the US Open 2007

Defending champion Maria Sharapova was shocked by Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland to crash out of the US Open 2007 on Saturday.

But I just didn't really feel that way inside of me for some reason today. Defending champion Maria Sharapova out in the third round of the US Open 2007

Thirtieth seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland defeated defending champion and second seed Maria Sharapova 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 to reach the fourth round of the US Open 2007. Wow!

The biggest favorites for the title (Jankovic, Ivanovic, Henin, the Williams sisters) Sharapova couldn’t have faced before the final, since they are all in the upper half of the draw. But it seems that the draw was not easy enough for the Russian.

Sharapova didn’t display her best tennis in the match against the teenager from Krakow, as she made 12 double faults, and 49 unforced errors, while winning only 23% of the points on her second serve. Agnieszka Radwanska defeats Vera Dushevina, wins Nordic Light Open title

Second-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland won her first WTA Tour singles crown with a dominant 6-1, 6-1 victory over Russia's Vera Dushevina in the Sunday final at the Nordic Light Open.

Winning this Tier IV tournament, the 18-year-old Radwanska became the first Polish WTA player to win a singles title. The final in Stockholm was Radwanska’s first career singles final; she had previously reached a semifinal at Luxembourg last year and pair of quarterfinals this year — in Istanbul and Palermo.
