Svetlana Kuznetsova stunned by Agnieszka Radwanska in Wimbledon fourth round

Svetlana Kuznetsova at Wimbledon 2008Fourth-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova followed Maria Sharapova, Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic out of Wimbledon. For the first time in history none of the top four women's seeds have reached the quarterfinals at the All England Club.

Kuznetsova was defeated in the fourth round by world No.11 Agnieszka Radwanska. The 19-year-old Pole, who won the Eastbourne title before arriving at Wimbledon, broke the Russian at 5-3 and 5-5 in the decider before serving out for a 6-4 1-6 7-5 triumph.

In the quarterfinals Radwanska will play sixth seed Serena Williams.

Agnieszka Radwanska beats Nadia Petrova to win International Women's Open

Agnieszka Radwanska wins EastbourneAgnieszka Radwanska of Poland clinched the International Women's Open title at Eastbourne defeating Nadia Petrova 6-4 6-7 (11) 6-4 in today’s final.

Fourth-seeded Radwanska took the first set, but didn’t convert three match points in the second set and Petrova leveled on her fourth set point. The final set was also close, but the 19-year-old Radwanska secured the decisive break at 5-4 and served out for victory.

Agnieszka Radwanska beats Elena Dementieva for Istanbul title

Agnieszka Radwanska wins Istanbul CupAgnieszka Radwanska of Poland beat defending champion and top seed Elena Dementieva 6-3 6-2 to capture the Istanbul Cup on Saturday.

The victory in the Istanbul Cup final earned world No.15 Radwanska her third WTA singles title, and the second one this season (she also won in Thailand in February).

Radwanska has never lost in a WTA title match, improving to 3-0. She is also 2-1 lifetime against Dementieva, who had not lost in seven previous matches at this event.

Fearless Polish teenager Agnieszka Radwanska on way to the top

Agnieszka Radwanska wins Pattaya WomenWorld No.21 Agnieszka Radwanska won the Pattaya Women’s Open yesterday and in current form the 18-year-old Pole is on the right way to become much better-known among wider tennis audience.

With the victory in Pattaya City, Radwanska won her second career title, the first one was the Nordic Light Open in Stockholm last year, when she defeated Vera Dushevina in the final.

In the final of the Pattaya Women's Open, a Tier IV tournament in Thailand, top-seeded Radwanska defeated Jill Craybas 6-2 1-6 7-6 (7-4) after an intense two-hour match. With the victory Radwanska improved to 2-0 lifetime against Craybas, who was trying for her second career singles crown and first since 2002.

Radwanska was the first player from Poland to win a tour title, break into the top 30 and reach the last eight of a Grand Slam, and her achievements made tennis more popular in her home country. Of course, Radwanska has more goals in front of her. "I want to be a top 10 player, win a Grand Slam. I think about it and like all players, I want to be number one," said the teenager from Krakow. Agnieszka Radwanska upsets Svetlana Kuznetsova at Australian Open

Agnieszka RadwanskaPoland's Agnieszka Radwanska, the player who stunned defending champion Maria Sharapova in the third round of the 2007 US Open, scored her second major Grand Slam upset with a 6-3 6-4 win over second seed Svetlana Kuznetsova to reach the last 16 at the Australian Open.

Radwanska, seeded 29th, raced into a 3-0 lead in the first set. Although Kuznetsova quickly leveled, her inconsistency returned and the confident Krakow teenager took three straight games to win the first set. The 18-year-old Radwanska rallied from 0-3 down in the second to take a 4-3 advantage, and after Kuznetsova tied, Radwanska took the final two games to score the victory.

"I was not playing against her, I was playing against me," said extremely disappointed Kuznetsova, who believed to be better prepared than even for the Australian Open. However, Radwanska believes that her determination was what gave her the victory: "I played against her a few times, always losing, so I said 'no more'."
