Women's tennis fashion is attracting a lot of attention, especially at Grand Slams when clothing sponsors and players try to showcase the best they have. So let's see what they've come up for the 2010 US Open.

I'll start with adidas, my overall favorite, as they always make outfits that have a glamorous touch but can also be easily worn at everyday practice.

Daniela Hantuchova and Ana Ivanovic are sporting pink adidas Women's Fall adilibria Dress.

Russians Dinara Safina and Maria Kirilenko are cled in adidas Barricade Top and Skort.

Caroline Wozniacki is looking great in Stella McCartney Tennis Performance Dress, contrasting nicely with Tennis Performance Bra Top. Elena Dementieva and Yonex once again failed to impress with design and fellow blogger C Note, who saw the dress live at the US Open, said that it even looks two sizes too big on Dementieva.

As usual for a Grand Slam, Maria Sharapova has two versions of a Nike dress – one for day matches and a darker piece for night. When we reviewed the dresses from the photos prior to the Open they looked somewhat questionable, but when seen on Sharapova they are a perfect match. You can see the dresses closer here and here.

Aravane Rezai and Bethanie Mattek Sands always like to stand out from the crowd, in their own way. However, this time their spotlight was stolen by Nadia Petrova.

Venus Williams is debuting two designs from her revived EleVen collection.

Svetlana Kuznetsova and Agnes Szavay are wearing Fila.

Also in Fila is defending champion Kim Clijsters, who has day and night outfit this time. For her day matches the Belgian is working the Center Court Cap Sleeve Top paired with the Center Court Skort, while at night she's wearing the Center Court Dress.

Lacoste representatives are Gisela Dulko and Samantha Stosur.

Alona Bondarenko's K-Swiss stripes also got noticed, while Chinese ANTA, just like many other brands, opted for purple for Jelena Jankovic's US Open dress.

What are your favorite outfits? We really have a great variety at this year's US Open.

Update: Venus is constantly bringing on new outfits. The latest two, shown above, are inspired by New York fireworks.
Agnes Szavay has won ten straight matches and after defending her title at the home tournament in Budapest last week the Hungarian won her second straight title with a finals victory against Barbora Zahlavova Strycova at the ECM Prague Open.

Szavay, seeded seventh in Prague, started her match against the eighth-seeded first-time finalist Zahlavova Strycova strongly and finished it on the same note to take the match 6-2 1-6 6-2.

The world No.49, once ranked 13th, has now collected five Sony Ericsson WTA Tour singles titles: Palermo and Beijing in 2007, two in Budapest, and now this one in Prague.

Partnered with Monica Niculescu, Szavay also played the doubles final at the $220,000 International-level event, but the unseeded pair lost to third seeds Timea Bacsinszky and Tathiana Garbin 7-5 7-6(4).
For the second year in a row Hungarian’s No.1 player Agnes Szavay won her home tournament of GDF SUEZ Grand Prix and in both the finals she defeated Swiss Patty Schnyder.

In last year’s final Szavay rallied from a set down to win 2-6 6-4 6-2, while this time she had a more straightforward victory, 6-2 6-4. The first set featured an eight deuce final game which lasted as much as the rest of the set and the second set was a closer battle.

The world No.49 Szavay has now won four Sony Ericsson WTA Tour titles: Palermo, Beijing, and Budapest twice.
World No.3 Dinara Safina hadn’t played on the Tour since January and the Australian Open, and her first match since returning from the back injury was a victory — the Russian defeated Hungary's Agnes Szavay 7-6(5) 3-6 6-0 in the second round of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.

The win over the 33rd-ranked Szavay is a good sign, as only days ago Safina said that the lower back injury could cause her long-term problems and seriously harm her career.

The unseeded Szavay quickly got to a 4-1 lead in the first set, but Safina fought back to win it in over an hour. After losing the second set, the Russian was in full command in the third.

"I don't know if I am more happy than tired or more tired than happy," said Safina, who turned 24 two days ago. "It is always nice to come back with a win, regardless how."

Safina, last year’s runner-up at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, will play Israel’s Shahar Peer in the quarterfinals.
Szavay, who was winless in the first two months of the season, upset the world No.3 Williams with an impressive score of 6-0 6-4. A bagel! Wow! We can now officially say that Szavay, once a rapidly rising tennis star, is back where she should be.

Szavay, the 29th seed, scored her seventh Top 10 win defeating a player she lost to in three sets in the quarterfinals of Acapulco in February.

The Hungarian's next opponent will be 20th seed Dominika Cibulkova, who defeated Gisela Dulko 6-4 6-2 in the third round.

As we’ve already posted, holder Ana Ivanovic went safely through to the fourth round, while 16-year-old Portuguese wunderkind Michelle Larcher de Brito didn’t manage to scream her way into the fourth round and fell to Aravane Rezai 7-6 (3) 6-2 after an interesting match.
Women’s tennis stars Agnes Szavay, Dominika Cibulkova, and Caroline Wozniacki modeled new Bluetooth watches that can be used to control a mobile phone. The watches were unveiled on Wednesday by Sony Ericsson.

"The MBW-200 series is the next step in the development of Bluetooth™ wireless technology." said Karmen Mandic, Product Business Manager, at Sony Ericsson. "Now women can buy a Bluetooth™ watch that gives them both wireless functionality and an opportunity to express their personal taste. We’re all looking for products that make our lives more convenient. With a glance at your watch you can see who is calling, what the time is and with a push of a button you can change your music or use it as a music remote control when your phone is on the other side of the room– all in one stylish device."

The MBW-200 series was designed by Fossil and the Bluetooth™ knowhow of Sony Ericsson. You can choose between three different styles: Sparkling Allure, promoted by 19-year-old Dominika Cibulkova, Contemporary Elegance, worn by Danish teenager Caroline Wozniacki, and Evening Classic, modeled by Hungarian Agnes Szavay.
Szavay broke early in both sets, but couldn't capitalize. In the first set she was leading 5-4 and was serving for the set, but made two double-faults and two forehand misses. Eventually, Dushevina entered the quarterfinals by winning a close tiebreaker against Szavay.

World No.14 Szavay made it big last year, but this season hasn’t been so bright for the Hungarian. We’re waiting for her to rise again and reach the very top.
Ivanovic and Szavay started their match yesterday, but it was called off at one-set all due to bad light. Today, Ivanovic wasted little time in taking the third set and the final score was 3-6 6-4 6-3.

Seed No.2 Ivanovic and seed No.7 Demetieva will play the semifinal later today. The Russian has won all three of their previous meetings, including a defeat three months ago in the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships, but they have never played each other on clay. Ivanovic needs to reach the final to hold on to her number two ranking otherwise Russian former number one Maria Sharapova will overtake her.

In the other semifinal, Russian Dinara Safina, who sent home Justine Henin and Serena Williams, plays Viktoria Azarenka of Belarus.

On day two of the Qatar Total Open in Doha, Marion Bartoli lost in the second round (in the first round she had a bye), while Agnes Szavay and Sania Mirza left the tournament in the first round.

France’s Marion Bartoli still hasn't managed to replay her fantastic performance from Wimbledon where she was the runner-up. At the Qatar Total Open, the eighth seed lost in straight sets 6-2 6-3 to 17-year-old Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark, who is seriously making her way to the top. Wozniacki is one of the young players to watch. Taking into account her attractiveness, her fruitful tennis career is likely to be accompanied with marketing success. Actually, Wozniacki already did a commercial for Sony Ericsson. Fellow blogger Juan has a nice little article about Wozniacki’s achievements and future career prospects.

Agnes Szavay hasn’t been consistent this season, failing to live up to the expectations, at least by now. Although the world No.18 reached Paris finals, in all the other tournaments she played this season she lost in the first round. The Hungarian, seeded thirteenth at the Qatar Total Open, lost in the first round to Japan’s Ai Sugiyama 7-6 6-0.

India’s Sania Mirza, ranked 32nd in the world, had to retire in her match against Belorussian world No.50 Olga Govortsova. Mirza was a better player in the first half of the match, but Govortsova refused to give up. Mirza lost a few of crucial points which would have enabled her to close out the match, and cramps began to trouble the Indian since. It was clear that if Govortsova managed to win the second set, she would become a huge favorite to win the match, having in mind Mirza's troubles with the cramps. And that's exactly what happened. Mirza retired after the fifth game of the third set. Govortsova next faces top seed Ana Ivanovic of Serbia.
