Bouchard ousted on Arthur Ashe in round one

Eugenie Bouchard fell to Evgeniya Rodina 7-6(2) 6-1 in the first round of the US Open and has now failed to make it past the second round of her last eight tournaments, starting with a second-round exit at Roland Garros.

The world No.76 Bouchard looked stunning in the matte silver Nike Fall Slam NYC Dress, but her performance was way less appealing than her looks, as the Canadian lost the first set by melting away in the tiebreak, in which she handed Rodina as many as five unforced errors, while in the second set her winners-to-unforced-errors differential was -12, compared to Rodina’s 0.

The 89th-ranked Rodina, who is one of two mothers in the 2017 US Open singles draw, ended a four-match losing run on the WTA tour and will next face fourth seed Elina Svitolina, who recorded a 6-0 6-7(5) 6-3 first-round win over Katerina Siniakova.

I am very disappointed with this particular player…. I met her in person in Singapore when went to WTA Finals in 2014 but ever since then, she kept displaying erratic behavior and gave such a rude comment regardless how honest they were….. I think she is reaping what she sowed so, good luck with that!

Maybe because Genie is paying too much attention to her fashion sense that her tennis practice, she is not making it past the first round. She would rather go on fashion shoots in New York City, strutting around with golfer Michelle Wie. Albeit she did exchange tennis lessons for golf lessons with the Big Wiezy. (BTW hope for a speedy recovery for Michelle who had to have an emergency appendectomy in Toronto this past weekend while playing in a tournament!) 🙁

Don’t know why anyone is surprised that she lost. Don’t know why anyone bothers to report on what she is doing. Could it be because she is goodlooking? Lots of other people won their matches, why not tell us about those?

Who’s shocked by this ? certainly not me lol. Now , the fact that she is still talked about is beyond me , she has nothing to offer anymore besides bashing other players for attention , because she can’t get it from her tennis … and the fact that she, herself doesn’t understand why she was put on Arthur Ashe ,speaks volumes .
