Just in time for Roland Garros 2017, Lacoste is delivering another classy collection that captivates with an updated traditional look and subtle details.

At her home Grand Slam, world No.43 Alize Cornet will wear the Lacoste Spring Top, a classic design with modern features such as the diamond jacquard mesh at the bust and back. A touch of color is provided by a fluo energy contrast trim at neck and oceanie blue at the bustline. The matching white Lacoste Spring Pleated Skirt is an all-around pleated design we’ve seen a thousand times, but we can never have enough of the timeless cut.

World No.60 Christina McHale will pair the pleated skirt with the Lacoste Spring Sleeveless Polo, an even more traditional top made from run-resistant pique fabric.

It’s a pity that no one will wear the daring retro Lacoste Spring Dress. It is definitely not a design for Dominika Cibulkova, but Alize Cornet would look great in it!

Let me also add that Lacoste created the 2017 Roland Garros clothes for women, men and children, featuring graphics of a vintage tennis player and all-over stripes.

The Lacoste Women’s Sweatshirt and the Lacoste Women’s T-Shirt are both 100% cotton.

The tomato Lacoste Sleeveless Polo and navy Lacoste Roland Garros Dress are timeless classics also made from pure cotton.

  1. Nice! My only problem with Lacoste is that some players who wear it don’t have the right bodies for it. Oh, my other problem is that Vesnina stopped wearing it–it was made for her 🙁

  2. Diane, I agree, Vesnina has just the right physique for Lacoste. Domi is their top name, but a lot of designs, like these pleated skirts, would not look good on her at all. She’s more for clean, sporty lines.

  3. Vesnina was a great representative of Lacoste but she switched to Nike. Even Sam Stosur looked great before in Lacoste before she switched to Asics. I love Alize’s dress! I first saw it in Twitter. I agree, Domi is more the sporty type. Pleats are for more playful players. I hope they add a new name to Women’s line like Djokovic in Men’s line.

  4. Emman Damian, I keep thinking about Lacoste’s strategy. Now they’ve invested so much money to sign Djokovic, but on the other hand they don’t bother to create more designs or improve their social media campaigns and relationship with bloggers. They are ready to splurge on one side, but they don’t care to pay more attention to promotion that is free.

  5. Emman Damian, thanks for the update. 🙂 Yes, she eventually debuted the Lacoste Spring Player Dress.

  6. Emman Damian, I love it! I’ve seen the promo pic and I just don’t like how those shoes match the dress.
