Flavia Pennetta, who stole my heart forever when she announced that she would retire from tennis in the classiest way one can imagine, right after winning her first Grand Slam title at the 2015 US Open, today gave birth to a baby boy named Federico.
The Italian shared the happy news on Twitter:

Flavia’s husband Fabio Fognini, whom she married in June 2016, is enjoying the best week of his life, as not only has he become a father today, but on Tuesday he eliminated defending champion and world No.1 Andy Murray in front of a packed Campo Centrale in the second round of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome.
The 35-year-old Flavia had announced her pregnancy to the public in December 2016, while just four days ago she posted on Instagram a photo of herself, so we could see how she looked in the 40th week of pregnancy.
Congratulations to the lovely couple! Little Federico must be adorable!
