Before tournament play begins at the All England Club on Monday, the best of the best in women's tennis gathered on a Kensington rooftop on Thursday night for the 2016 Pre-Wimbledon Party by Dubai Duty Free. Bright colors, bold patterns, and strappy sandals seemed to be the trending styles this year, and we have compiled a few of the purple carpet's best looks.
Romanian player Sorana Cirstea served up a bodacious look in a strapless black body-con dress with sheer sides. She kept it simple accessory wise, wearing chunky platform heels and no jewelry but for a couple black bands.
Always a stunning presence, Ana Ivanovic channeled the Lady in Red with an ankle length, off the shoulder crimson frock and simple black sandals.
Not to be outdone, Canadian Genie Bouchard wore a deep red, one-piece pant suit with flared bottoms and a plunging neckline. She accentuated the look with a gold choker and matching clutch.
Heather Watson also decided on a solid color, choosing a forest green PVC dress with a cutout neckline and a super short skirt. The Brit may win the award for best accessories, arriving at the purple carpet with a yellow, white, and green plaid umbrella and funky black and white, strappy heels.
French Open winner Garbine Muguruza dazzled in a nude and black patterned minidress with black fringe at the hem. With it, she wore nude stiletto sandals and sparkly drop earrings.
Serena Williams also caught attention with her fierce outfit. She managed to mix a classic black blouse with a sexy long skirt cut to reveal nearly her entire left leg. The finishing touch on the look was her deep plum lipstick, which provided a splash of color.
Although there were many gorgeous outfits to be seen on the evening, none was quite as spectacular as Bethanie Mattek-Sands' wild dress, which was a black and white patterned, leather halter top with a skirt of poofy black and white tool. She is pictured here enjoying some down time with Christina McHale, who opted for a lacy royal blue dress.
