Three weeks ago I presented Fila’s Spirit collection created for the 2015 French Open and I told you then that I wasn’t sure which of the styles would be Jelena Jankovic‘s choice for the big event. Now I have more information: the Sprit collection will be worn by Vera Zvonareva and some other Fila ambassadors at Roland Garros, while Jelena Jankovic and Julia Goerges will sport the later released Goddess collection, which revolves around black, white and sunny lime colorways.

In the above promo pic, Jankovic is wearing the Fila Spring Goddess Strappy Back Tank, one of five silhouettes of tops available in the collection, and the Fila Spring Goddess Zip Slip Skirt, one of two types of skorts matching the tops. Just like the majority of pieces from the collection, the items presented on Jankovic are also available in black and white.

In addition, the collection features this sexy Fila Spring Goddess Cami Tank with ruching at the center front and open back, while the model on the right is wearing the black version of the Fila Spring Goddess Cap Sleeve that has an overlap back with shirring and keyhole at the top.

Although it’s not apparent, in this promo pic Germany’s Julia Goerges is wearing the yellow version of the above-mentioned cap-sleeve top.

The Fila athletes are now promoting the separates, but the highlight of the collection is the Goddess dress, available in black and white, and I suppose that that dress, featuring a wrap panel with ruching at the left side, is what JJ will wear at Wimbledon which comes shortly after Roland Garros. I suppose so because Fila’s official press release states that the collection is also intended for Wimbledon and I doubt JJ would wear anything but the dress.

What do you think of the collection? I love the lively yet subtle sunny lime color and all the three designs of tops that I presented here are super cute. The skirts JJ and Goerges are wearing in the promo photos are ordinary, while I won’t comment on the Goddess dress now, we’ll talk about it as Wimbledon approaches.

  1. I like the Goddess dress in white. It is minimalistic and elegant. The black version lacks inspiration. But I like it too but not as much as I want the white one.

  2. Emman Damian, I like the black and the white one equally. And what do you think about the French Open separates?

  3. I love Jelena’s separates, and the white dress will look great at Wimbledon! But I think Julia has too plain of an outfit. It was the opposite in the previous collections, when Julia wore more special-looking outfits

  4. Ga, maybe this photo is just not giving Julia’s outfit justice. I looked at the entire collection and, judging by the photo, Julia’s outfit is the one with a nice back cutout and overlap. Quite chic!

  5. Emman Damian, thanks for sharing your opinion. They are definitely not glamorous, but they are very cute as everyday wear.

  6. The French Open separates are not too special. They could have used a brighter yellow shade. The cut is ok. I want to see it on Julia. I think it suits her more.

  7. I agree. You can wear it on everyday practice or on smaller tournaments. Although fitting looks nice on JJ and Julia. Let’s see them on action. I might change my opinion.

  8. I loved the goddess dress in the sunny lime on JJ at RG. Wish I could find it in stores, not just black or white.

  9. KathyB, I don’t know why it’s not available in stores. Tennis clothing brands do so much to promote their stuff and they we can’t buy it in stores. Strange.
