Fila is ready for big action at Indian Wells and Miami, having launched the Ready, Set, Glow! collection to be debuted by their athletes at the upcoming tournaments in the United States. The brand is staying true to their signature silhouettes, welcoming the spring 2015 awakening with knockout pink, green gecko and navy heather hues. An upbeat boost is provided by bright contrast stitching and surprising pops of color.

World No.21 Jelena Jankovic, the company’s top WTA representative, will work the pink version of the Fila Spring Glow Dress which features sleek racerback straps for maximum range of motion and the brand’s recognizable color-blocking panel below the chest.

On a side note, JJ lifted the 2010 Indian Wells champion’s trophy, but at the time she was sponsored by Anta and her outfit that week included an all-green Anta dress and jacket. Actually the shade of green was very similar to the one from the new Fila collection.

World No.65 Julia Goerges and world No.60 Yaroslava Shvedova are going for separates and the Ready, Set, Glow! collection features five different silhouettes of tops and two skort styles. My favorite tank from the group is the Fila Spring Glow Racer Tank we can see on Shvedova, but I prefer the versions with pink or navy base. Goerges is pictured wearing the clean and classic navy with green Fila Spring Glow Two Tone Tank. Both the players’ bottoms include the Fila Spring Glow Stitch Skirt, available in three colors.

The line is completed by the half-zip jacket, full-zip jacket and leggings, each embellished with bright flashes of color. What do you think, are the Fila players going to glow this spring?

  1. For me shvedova’s dress looks better than others then julia’s and then jj’s. JJ’s dresses lately lack that JJ factor which I hope comes back soon

  2. Sru, I agree and I said it in the article, Shvedova’s outfit is my favorite of the three.

Emman Damian, me too, I’d like to see something more spectacular on JJ. JJ could pull off all sorts of unconventional designs, it’s a pity Fila has not used that in recent collections.

  3. I personally like Julia’s two tone tank and glow stitch skirt. It’s really sporty yet refreshing. It will be very suited in the hardcourts of Indian Wells and Miami. Slava’s racer tank also looks good. It will also look good on Julia. I’m not very convinced with JJ’s dress. It’s too simple and plain. It lacks inspiration. Jelena is a big tennis superstar. She deserves better!

  4. Sorciere, thanks a lot for the link! I’ll have to feature it in a post. Hmm I don’t really like the dress, but I’ll give it a chance to grow on me. 🙂

  5. Wow, don’t you think the flowers on Caro’s dress look like the older Stella designs? Kinda like that grey one she wore all the time? That was my first thought

  6. Ga, I think you’re referring to Caro’s grey dress that she wore all the time in the beginning of her cooperation with Stella. At first glance, this yellow dress didn’t remind me of that one, but it definitely is a typical Stella design, although, I have to say, not as well executed as her previous two collections. I much prefer Caro’s current dress.
