Polka-dotted Radwanska’s spotty performance sends her home

Fourth seed Agnieszka Radwanska became the highest seed to drop out of the women’s singles draw at the US Open by falling to Peng Shuai in the second round 6-3 6-4. I stole the title of this post from Ben Rothenberg who nicely summed up the match with the tweet: “A spotty performance by the polka-dotted Aga.”

At the post-match presser uninspired Aga said that she had no excuse for the defeat and that she didn’t play worse than in her other matches. Oh well, the US Open is not her favorite Grand Slam anyway. She has actually lost in the second round of the tournament as much as five times, while at her other four appearances she made the fourth round.

Maybe Aga didn’t make a statement with her performance, but she certainly did with her Lotto Women’s Maddy Dress Dots. The super cute polka dots, flouncy skirt and adjustable tank straps make this outfit the perfect option for those who like to look cute and stylish, but not over the top. Aga’s shoes: Lotto Raptor Ultra IV Speed.

  1. Sru, definitely a great leap from Lotto this year, I like them venturing into the risky department of tennis fashion and distancing from the overly conservative looks.

  2. I agree but i feel the colours they used for david ferrer’s and other men’s gear are far less conservative than their women’s outfit over the years. But i’m glad they are changing are like these new aga looks

  3. Sru, I’m focused on women’s fashion so that’s what I was referring to, it really was overly conservative. I see that everyone has welcomed the change.
