Roland Garros party lifts WTA players to the Eiffel Tower

Roland Garros hosted the players' party on Thursday night and our joueuses de tennis loved it, especially the view.

Ana Ivanovic and Donna Vekic

The 2008 champion Ana Ivanovic and Donna Vekic matched their white smiles and tones of their outfits for the event.

Anastasia Rodionova and Alla Kudryavtseva

Anastasia Rodionova and Alla Kudryavtseva pouted their lips for a selfie, while Rodionova also shared this amazing photo of the view they enjoyed during the party.

The star of the night was definitely world No.1 Serena Williams.

Serena Williams

Not only is she the defending champion, but this blue dress is one of her best evening off-court looks ever.

Alize Lim and Serena Williams

France's Alize Lim also attracted attention at the party, while today she made headlines for a funny reason, after tweeting the story of her today's conversation with Serena Williams, when she learned she would play her in the first round.

So five minutes ago I was in the locker room speaking to Serena, asked her: "Oh, did you make the draw, who do I play?!" She told me: "No, I don't look at the draw."

It's easy being Serena! :)

Sloane Stephens

Just like in her on-court clothes, Sloane Stephens opted for a bright-colored dress and it was a a perfect choice.

Jelena Jankovic

Jelena Jankovic posed with the President of French Tennis Federation Jean Gachassin.

Mathilde Johansson

And finally, France's Mathilde Johansson made a successful fashion risk, at least judging by this photo, with this Hollywood glamour look. (images via Roland Garros Facebook page and players' Twitter profiles)

Ozzie, oh thanks for the correction. She's got that Swedish look and was born in Goteborg…

Ozzie, you're right, it's correct to write that she's of France, since she's representing that country, but my mistake wasn't that big since she was born in Sweden :)

I actually didn't know that. :) Congrats on your blog, it's my go to site for anything about tennis. Well done and keep it up!
