Not even coach Nigel Sears was a good enough fit for Ana Ivanovic, as the former world No.1 decided not to extend their cooperation after their two-year contract has expired. Ivanovic appointed Sears in July 2011 and during  their time together she won one title, the Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions in Bali in November 2011, and reached her first Grand Slam quarterfinal since her Roland Garros title in 2008.

At the start of cooperation with Sears, Ivanovic was ranked No.18, he helped her ascend to No.12 in the 2012 season-ending WTA rankings, while following her second-round loss to Eugenie Bouchard at the recently-finished Wimbledon she fell from No.12 to No.17.

By the way, Nigel Sears is also known for being the father of the newly-crowned Wimbledon champion Andy Murray’s long-time girlfriend Kim Sears. (photo: © Neal Trousdale)
