The agony of world No.10 Caroline Wozniacki’s coaching situation is not over yet. Apparently, she and her father Piotr have still not given up on finding a suitable full-time coach for her, despite the unbelievably brief last year’s collaborations with Ricardo Sanchez and Thomas Johansson and the recent intention to retain Piotr as her coach for the rest of her career.

The cooperation with the two coaches was a disaster because Caroline’s father didn’t give them the freedom to implement their techniques to the full, but here’s what Piotr claims now:

The new coach will have full responsibility, that’s been the aim the whole time. The coaches last year just weren’t optimal for Caroline. Of course, they did their best with the tools they had, but it didn’t feel right for Caroline, so she decided herself to say stop and take stock as to what she wanted before making a final decision.

All eyes will be on Wozniacki’s French Open opener against Laura Robson, as the Dane is yet to win a match on red clay this season, having lost four, and is currently on a five-match losing streak. (via Beyond the Baseline, photo: © Neal Trousdale)
