Four-year-old Petra Kvitova practicing tennis shots
Petra Kvitova is the hottest player of the moment with her WTA Championships title and the year can also be considered hers, as she won Wimbledon as one of her six titles in 2011. The Czech is now enjoying her career-high ranking of number two and the next season is expected to be more than bright for this 21-year-old. Now let's see how little Kvitova was handling the tennis racquet 17 years ago.
Petr, thank you for telling me about the video!
This article is part of Women's Tennis Blog's highly-popular series featuring WTA stars when they were children. We've already had a similar video of three-year-old Dinara Safina, and many other awesome photos and clips including:
Amelie Mauresmo, Ana Ivanovic, Caroline Wozniacki, Dominika Cibulkova, Elena Dementieva, Jelena Dokic, Jelena Jankovic, Justine Henin, Kim Clijsters, Lindsay Davenport, Maria Kirilenko, Maria Sharapova, Marion Bartoli, Martina Hingis, Monica Seles, Sara Errani, Sam Stosur, Tatiana Golovin, Tracy Austin, the Williams sisters and Zheng Jie.

She started in very basic conditions. But that's what probably motivated her in the future.
I think you will find she won 6 titles in 2011, not 7: Bisbane, Paris Indoors, Madrid, Wimbledon, Linz & SEC Istanbul.
Hylton, you're right. The WTA website under Kvitova's profile wrongly wrote seven titles, while when you count them there are only six. I'll correct write away.
