Marion Bartoli finally has a clothing sponsor – Lotto
World number nine Marion Bartoli came to Istanbul as a replacement of Maria Sharapova in the WTA Championships and in the sole match she played there, the 5-7 6-4 6-4 victory over eventual runner-up Victoria Azarenka, the Frenchwoman debuted an outfit of her new clothing sponsor Lotto. The deal is for three years through to 2014.
"I am pleased to have signed with Lotto, an Italian brand, and although I'm Corse of 2 generations, my name is Italian in origin," said Bartoli who infamously used to be without a clothing sponsor for four years.
The first Bartoli's Lotto outfit was a white short-sleeve shirt and a red skort.

I am surprised it took Bartoli so long to get a sponsor. Was it because she didn't want one? I watched her play in the New Haven Open this summer and she is a great player. Maybe its her unique two handed forehand keeping the sponsors away.. Just kidding of course.
are you sure that marion didn't has an apparel sponsor for four years?
but if we goggling her pictures, we'll see her with nike most of time
Yeah Marion was wearing Nike for 4 years but without being sponsored. She went to the Nike store in Paris every year to buy her outfits.
Before that, she had an endorsement with Le Coq Sportif.
Goldie, thanks for contributing the answer. Yes, Marion was wearing Nike, but not as their official representative.
I dont understand this one, why would a world class top 10 player, someone who is well known to the press, with a somewhat successful career be without a clothes sponsor so long. Did she not want a sponsor? I cannot imagine that no clothes company wanted to sponsor her – I cannot understand the Nike thing, why wouldn't Nike want to sign her up when she clearly likes their kit.
