Fila designs at Australian Open: Spring 2010 Heritage collection

Kim Clijsters in Fila spring 2010 Tennis Heritage CollectionAn the 2010 Australian Open Fila debuted spring 2010 Tennis Heritage Collection through women's tennis stars such as Svetlana Kuznetsova, Kim Clijsters, Agnes Szavay and Anna Chakvetadze.

This season Fila is featuring its signature design features – crimson, Chinese red, peacoat and white, boldly accented by contrast piping, stripes and diagonals. The shoe of choice was Fila Alfa performance tennis shoe, a modern complement to the classic style of the Heritage collection.

I like the way Fila is preserving its classic style, which makes it easily distinguishable from other brands. My favorite Fila representative is Svetlana Kuznetsova, and I can't imagine the Russian wearing anything else.

Below you can see some pieces from the new Fila collection.

I love how Chaky looks in her dress. So elegant and classy.

I like how all of them look in Fila. The designs are simple and sporty, and I actually like it that they don't experiment with colors.

Sveta looks great in her lucky shorts.Fila caters to big girls and most girls that wear this line have homely bodies,Kim,Sveta,Dellaqua,Kanepi sometimes and Kleybanova.

Fyoto, could be true, but that's cool. I like it that you can quite easily tell that something is Fila the moment you see it. Their trademarks are very recognizable.

simple, classy and most of all consistant.

  9. Marija on February 4th, 2010

As we can see, people value consistency a lot.

I like Fila, they are really about the sport. Their outfits are sometimes quiet plain to me but I think that's their "no nonsense" way of doing things. I think Adidas is a little like that although they experiment with colours and patterns a bit more.

  12. Marija on February 4th, 2010

Marine, yes, adidas seems to be inbetween. I like it that adidas keeps it simple as well. Although, I like it that Nike is experimental. It's all good when we have a variety, and know what to expect from which brand.

I like Fila as well — always consistent. The new lines from Adidas and Nike I do not like — who came up with bumblebee yellow?!?

  14. Marija on February 5th, 2010

Kelly, I don't wear yellow but I like how adidas and Nike yellows look on players. I especially like Ana's adidas dress.

I think Kuzzy looked good but otherwise the line is unimaginative and boring

  16. Marija on February 5th, 2010

Stella, I think it's good there are brands that nurture simple style.

I like it that Fila has retained its classic styles, too. And yes, Sveta is a great Fila representative!

"Bumblebee yellow". Loved that one! :-)
