Elena Dementieva honored by Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev

World No.4 Elena Dementieva has been honored in her home Russia, with the order given to citizens of high achievements. Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev put the Order of Honor on the left side of Dementieva's chest.

    I am guessing Elena is going to have a "bright" future in Russian politics:-) That's what happened to many famous Russian female athletes. Many of them are now parliamentarians.
