Thanks for the article, Marija. It's great to know that she'll be participating.

Also, she won her first round match today. Good news, even though she struggled a little. :)

Weird day today, she won against Nadia 6-1 6-2. She improved her serve with 6 aces (I'm not going to mention her DFs though :P )

But Nadia played a very crappy match, don't know what happened to her. But nice to see Maria making the quarterfinals again, she should have won it at 6-1, 5-1, 3 match points, but I guess she choked for a little second. :)

She played really well today, the little I saw of the match. When she got the 3 match points at 5-1 I thought it was too good to be true. At least she didn't let her lead slip again. 60% first serves in, good for her! Who does she play next?

She'll play Alla or Venus in the next round. For some reason I'd rather have her kick Alla's ass than Venus. :P

    And probably say:
"It was a pleasure to beat Alla, why? Because I didn't like her outfit from Walmart".

Oh yes, Alla, I still remember.

I've never liked Alla but but my dislike for her grew even more after she beat Maria and made that comment. Don't think either she or Maria will get past Venus but I can hope :) That match will give a good indication of where Maria's game is at. She's on the way back up after this victory :D

Oh guys I feel bad. I was sleeping during the match (it was in the middle of the night) and now that I came back from work I'm able to report on Maria's victory, and it's not even news any more. Damn. :P
