Go serena 11 grand slam titles. We should be applauding her greatness just as so many have done 4 roger federrer. Venus is the true #1 womens player in tennis. For those who don't like 2 see them play each other the competition needs 2 step up their level of play.

I'll pass on Maria, but I agree, it was somewhat lackluster... but they are sisters and I'd imagine it hard knowing either my sister or I was going to win and the other was going to lose. Though they are also both professionals, so I'd have liked to have seen more competition. But I think it was Serena with more experience coming into the Finals, she had a thrilling match against Elena and a strong match against Victoria. I had my hopes for Elena to make it through, and that match against Serena was definitely a great one.

To keep the women's final from being boring, we need Maria Sharapova in it. :P

I don't believe it was a family decision. Venus was visibly saddened after the loss.

This final was not totally boring, but I totally understand what you mean, it was absolutely nothing special. However, it's hardly the worst one lately. Oops.

I have to admit this is one of the most boring final at Wimbledon (and most other Grand Slams) I have seen since I started watching tennis in 2004. Venus was not even there in that second set. No offense but to me it's a family decision, and instead of giving us a thrilling three-set match, they gave us a crappy straight sets win. The only competitive games during the match was the first set tie-break and the last game of the second set where Venus was saving a lot of match points.

It was worse than last year, this is why I don't want another Williams final. Their matches used to be thrilling, now.. boring.

Good news, Noppawan Lertcheewakarn won the Girls' Singles title after reaching the final last year! Let's do the Thai dance! I hope she'll win the doubles too. Now we can see her on the main tour. :P
