She could have won the match easily at 6-1, 6-3. But she was put to tie-break then lost the second set. In the third set, she was trailing at the beginning until she called Michael (which she obviously should have done a long time ago) and her game improved. At first I thought she was going to lose. Thank God she called Michael. You should see her play in the first set and the last set, it's definitely the old Maria. She needs to work a lot on her serve. But still, I'm happy to see her back, her game at the beginning at the beginning of the match was awesome. To Zuleika: I think the WTA did announce of Maria's protected ranking of "4", I read it on Maria Sharapova's website as well. But I don't know what happened.. P.S. I believe it would be more pleasing to her fans, should she have utilised or applied for a protected ranking.
