In 2008 Ana Ivanovic wore the same dress at both the Australian Open and Roland Garros, in different colors though. That will be the case in 2009 too. Ana will wear the violet adilibria adidas dress at the first Grand Slam of the year, while the blue version of the same dress is reserved for the French open.

Jelena Jankovic training with marathon champion German Silva

Jelena Jankovic training in Mexico

Jelena Jankovic is determined to retain her number one ranking in 2009 and has been working intensely on her form in San Luis, Mexico. The Serb is even accompanied by Mexican marathon runner German Silva in her trainings.

Here's how Jankovic describes her preparations:

The training process is rigorous and it contains many different exercises which are devised to increase strength, stamina and speed. I run a few kilometers every day and since I find it the most difficult of all tests, the coach [Pat Etcheberry] has found me company – marathon runner German Silva. He has an outstanding record in marathon races around the globe. He came sixth in the Olympic marathon in 1996, and he has won the New York marathon two times – in 1994 and 1995. We run together and it’s somewhat easier with someone at my side.

As a final stage of her preparations for next season Jankovic will practice tennis near her home of Bradenton, Florida. (source: Blic)
