Jelena Jankovic beats Caroline Wozniacki, reaches US Open quarterfinals

Jelena JankovicSecond seed Jelena Jankovic became the first WTA player to advance into the US Open quarterfinals. The Serb defeated Danish teenager Caroline Wozniacki 3-6 6-2 6-1 in the fourth round.

Jankovic surrendered the first set and it looked as if she would difficultly find her way out, but the world number two stormed through the second and third set.

In the next round Jankovic will face the winner of the match Marion Bartoli vs. Sybille Bammer. (photo via Sky Sports)
