Ana Ivanovic receives Women's Tennis Player of the Year 2008 award

World No.1 Ana Ivanovic made up for her early Wimbledon exit by being named Women's Tennis Player of the Year 2008 by the International Sports Press Association (AIPS).

"I feel very honored to receive this award and the recognition by the International Sports Press Association," said Ivanovic.

AIPS is an organization made up of 9,100 sports journalists from over 150 countries. (source: Ana Ivanovic's website)
