Ana Ivanovic will remain No.1 after Wimbledon
World No.1 Ana Ivanovic lost in the third round of Wimbledon, but since her neighbors in the rankings Maria Sharapova, Jelena Jankovic, and Svetlana Kuznetsova also lost early, Ivanovic will stay No.1 when the rankings are updated next Monday after Wimbledon.
Ivanovic, however, will only narrowly hold onto her No.1 spot. Jankovic is projected to rise back to No.2, while Sharapova will fall to No.3, or potentially No.4 if Elena Dementieva, the highest seed left standing at Wimbledon, wins the title. (via On the Baseline, photo: Getty Images)
