Jelena Jankovic’s biggest dream is Wimbledon title

Jelena Jankovic at WimbledonWorld number three Jelena Jankovic still hasn’t won a Grand Slam, and is probably the best active player never to have won one, but Wimbledon is her first pick if she were to choose.

The 23-year-old, seeded second in the women's singles at Wimbledon 2008 said:

"For me if I could choose which Grand Slam I would like to win I would choose Wimbledon. It's a very special place. I don't think there is a place like this. It's just an amazing tournament overall and all of the players love coming back here and we all would love to do well and have a great result."

For me too, I like all Grand Slams, but Wimbledon I somehow perceive as the most important one.

Jankovic is ready for the challenge of this year’s Championships despite recent injuries:

"I feel good now, I had some injuries and I was also sick before this tournament but now I'm OK and really look forward to competing in Wimbledon and hopefully having a great tournament."

Jankovic felt at least a portion of what it feels like to win a Wimbledon title when she won mixed doubles trophy with Jamie Murray last year. Singles, however, is still her dream and number one priority.

Additional info: J.J.’s best result at Wimbledon was the fourth round. This year her first opponent will be Olga Savchuk of Ukraine. (source: BBC, photo: Getty Images)

I am not really sure if she has it to the level required on grass but women's tennis is so filled with emotion these days….the best players break down so easy on an off day….

it will be a surprise if he wins it….
