World No.1 Maria Sharapova lost in the fourth round of the French Open to fellow Russian Dinara Safina, and could therefore lose the top ranking during the event to either Jelena Jankovic, Ana Ivanovic or Svetlana Kuznetsova. But here’s what Sharapova said about the situation: “Boo-hoo.” Hahahaha, short and clear. I love Sharapova more every day.
The loss to Safina provoked another interesting response out of Sharapova. Masha was booed as she left the court after the defeat, but she said: “I can’t please everyone. That’s not in my ‘J.D.’ — not in my job description. I mean, they paid the ticket to watch me, so they must appreciate me on some level, right?” (via Tennis X)
The French crowd will boo just about anybody, even their own players.

Maria has not shown rudeness to anybody, it was the crowd. The only thing she did was to play tennis while Dinara was smashing her rackets to the ground on the other side of the court. Boo-hoo to them!!!
