UPDATED: Ana Ivanovic, Jelena Jankovic on Serbian stamps

Tennis player on a stampSerbia has been so proud with the success of their tennis players that it put their faces to grace Serbian stamps. The stamps were officially released on Friday, April 4th.

Women’s tennis stars Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic have received the honor, while their male colleagues include world No.3 and Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic, world No.41 Janko Tipsarevic, and world No.6 doubles player and Australian Open mixed doubles champion Nenad Zimonjic. The images for these five stamps were created by academic painter Marina Kalezic.

After digging up the whole internet, I found this photo of Ana’s stamp on the website of the Serbian Post Office. As soon as I find Jelena's stamp, I'll add it to this post.

UPDATE: I've just been contacted by Gavin Versi, the person responsible for Ivanovic's media activities, including arranging interviews, attending photoshoots, and overseeing her website. He told me that the stamp I referred to in this post is not a depiction of Ana, but rather a generic image of a female tennis player.

I really thought it was Ana's stamp. Doesn't the tennis player in the image look like Ana to you too?

Anyway, we'll get to see Ana's stamp soon. It will be posted on her website. I hope we'll see Jelena Jankovic's stamp in the near future too.
