After winning the Pacific Life Open at Indian Wells, Ana Ivanovic set off to Miami for the Sony Ericsson Open and world No.2 ATP player Rafael Nadal offered to give her a lift as he had an extra seat on a private plane (as I understand, he rented that plane). Nice of Rafa to think of his colleagues, but on the other hand, I don’t know of anyone who would miss an opportunity to spend a few hours with Ana.
Ana Ivanovic is seeded second at the Sony Ericsson Open and the first player she'll meet will be either Emilie Loit or Virginia Ruano Pascual. Reminder: Last year, Ivanovic was beaten in the second round already. (Miami Herald via Tennis Planet)
