Women’s Edge tank and skort is a piece from Adidas’ latest collection which will be available for purchase within the next few weeks. My review is divided into several paragraphs which talk about my first impression when I received the outfit, then my other thoughts, technologies employed in the production of special ClimaCool® fabric, the choice of colors, and the conclusion followed by some additional information.
FIRST IMPRESSION: The first thing I noticed when I got the outfit was the softness of the tank. The white part of the tank feels like silk, only elastic, and I couldn’t take my hands off it. It’s probably the most beautiful fabric I’ve ever touched, and it feels good on your body too.
MORE IMPRESSIONS: The creators of the outfit definitely paid a lot of attention to details; you immediately notice its complex construction. At first glance you can see the preciseness in the design, as well as the vast array of high-quality fabrics. I believe they carefully researched how each part of the body behaves in terms of movement and heat, and adapted the materials and the design precisely to that. The tank has inner support bra which is quite comfortable, and most importantly, it doesn’t limit your movement. The skort has seamless inner short tight attached which is also comfortable and I believe very resistant.
TECHNOLOGIES: Adidas sent me description of the technological processes behind this peace of clothing. The crucial fact is that ClimaCool® fabric, which enables you to stay cooler in the clothes than you would be in bare skin, was used for the women’s Edge tank and skort. It’s not just another moisture-wicking fabric but an integrated system of technologies that work together to regulate the athlete’s body temperature far better than any single fabric technology can. Designers used infrared cameras to map the body’s critical heat and sweat zones, and then applied the results to produce the material that actively conducts heat and sweat away from the body through a combination of heat and moisture-dissipating materials, ventilation channels and three-dimensional fabrics.
COLORS: I absolutely love the combination of pure cyan, white and bronze metallic, and it is beautifully incorporated with the design (this is not the only available combination of colors).
All in all, I absolutely love the women’s Edge tank and skort, after all, I myself chose it. You can notice that my review is really positive, and I don’t think that should be a surprise. Adidas is a company with years of tradition, and you can definitely see their hard work and experience behind this peace of clothing.
BY THE WAY: You may have seen the dress from the Edge line on Ana Ivanovic, who wore it during the Sony Ericsson Championships.
