Djokovic answers why Sharapova was sitting in his box during the US Open final
It was a big surprise to see Maria Sharapova at the US Open 2007 men’s final sitting in Novak Djokovic’s box, and clearly rooting for him.
Everyone was perplexed, but luckily, we didn’t have to wait long for an explanation from the Serb himself: “No, let’s not go too much with Maria. It’s just a friendship we have. It was nice for her to come and support me. As well, Robert, he was yesterday on the match, and today. I mean, it’s amazing feeling to see such successful people, you know, in my box supporting me, playing with me I can say, living every emotional moment. It’s great. It’s great.”
And here’s how Sharapova reacted to Novak’s impersonations which made the whole world laugh: “She said she’s going to kill me,” Djokovic said. “Of course, she accepted it in the right way. Of course, she found it funny, not offended.”
At the place I found this interview of Novak Djokovic, I’ve noticed an interesting comment of a guy named Johny. He said: “Maria was so cute screaming his name Novak, Novak, Novak. Now he has Maria and Ivanovic, blond and black, far prettiest girls in sport, for good “friends”. That is two big headaches for his girlfriend in Belgrade.” Nole is a lucky guy, that’s for sure, but I believe that his girlfriend in Belgrade has nothing to worry about. yeah it may be a big headache for nole's girlfriend but if you would see them together.. they're CUTE.. you can say that they are really inlove with each other… and her girlfriend jelena is gorgeous.. that's it.. compared to ANA and MASHA.. her girlfriend is prettier and nicer.. =)i hope nole will not like or date any tennis girl because he needs a break too you know.. =)
