Ahsha Rolle scores her second upset of the US Open, advances to the third round

American Ahsha Rolle, ranked 109th in the world, became famous for causing the first major upset at the US Open 2007 by beating No.17 seed Tatiana Golovin in the first round. However, the 22-year-old Rolle hasn’t stopped there. Wednesday night, she advanced to the third round with the victory over 57th-ranked Karin Knapp of Italy 3-6, 6-4, 6-3.

Since success at Grand Slams is not something Ahsha is accustomed to, she had to stop for a moment to figure out how to celebrate. A simple jump in the air? A fall to the court? Hahaha, not an easy decision.

Ahsha Rolle, who was 0-2 in Grand Slam play until this week, revealed what else besides the victories has this long-awaited success brought to her: "It's amazing to be in the locker room with them [Venus and Serena], saying, 'Hi.' It's cool."

Seed No. 15 Dinara Safina of Russia is Rolle’s next opponent at Flushing Meadows. (via CBS Sports)

I recommend you to watch a video about the daily struggles Ahsha Rolle and her sister Tiya face as professional tennis players who are not ranked high.
