Tatiana Golovin out in the first round of the US Open

Seed No.17 Tatiana Golovin was upset in the opening round of the US Open by an American wildcard Ahsha Rolle 6-4 1-6 6-2. Unbelievable! Everyone thought that Golovin would certainly win this match, but instead, the Frenchwoman played one of her worst matches ever and is about to lose a lot of points because she was defending last year’s quarterfinals.

Other seeds to fall on the day one were No.29 seed Samantha Stosur of Australia who lost to Alize Cornet of France 6-3 6-2, and No.25 seed Mara Santangelo of Italy who was defeated by Russian Vera Dushevina.
